Kate Newton is a sustainable graphic designer with a passion for volunteering and working with nonprofit organizations. Originally from the Midwest, Kate relocated to the Pacific Northwest after earning her Bachelor of Art in Media Arts & Animation in 2004, making Portland, Oregon her home. Kate’s dedication and commitment to social justice and sustainability inspired her to earn a Master of Arts in Sustainable Design, with the goal of continuing to fuel her creative nature while helping to make the world a better place. Bringing her own imagination to each project to which she contributes, Kate thrives in a creative environment with like-minded individuals who aim to give 110% every day. Her thesis work for her Masters was focused on designing the framework for a sustainable font targeted for older generations. Kate has continued designing sustainable fonts, and plans to make them available at no cost to the general public once published. She is a proud mama of an adorably fabulous little boy, and enjoys exploring farmers markets and craft fairs wherever life takes her.
